this is a description of her
Sabine Burns is a professional photographer, designer, and aspiring filmmaker who hangs her many hats in many places.
Born and raised in Calgary, she feels at home under prairie skies, but spends most of her time in interior BC. She dedicates time to said hats seasonally. She specializes in backcountry skiing, events, and portraiture. In the winter she can be found taking photos at Monashee Powder Snowcats and around the Kootenays. In the spring you may catch her with her hands in the dirt planting trees in the Columbia and Rocky Mountains. She has spent 3 summers in the Yukon guiding the Canadian Artist Residency. After the pandemic put that project on pause, Sabine started documeting music festivals where she has found a new niche to love and capture. In the fall… her hat seems to fly off somewhere different annually.
She can always be found with a big grin, a little too much coffee, her sweet pup, and a camera. Sabine currently resides along the Slocan River in Sinixt Territory, BC, and is scheming up her next projects.
